If U equals -4X +2 and x equals -1 what is Y?

Assuming you had a typo and Y and U are supposed to be the same this is what you do. I’m going to use Y.

Plug in -1 for x

Y = -4(-1) + 2

Multiply -4 and -1 to get 4
Add 2

Y = 6
