2x + 3b/9 = x - b/2


Step 1: Add 1/2b to both sides.

1/3b + 2x + 1/2b = -1/2b + x + 1/2b

5/6b +2x = x


Step 2: Add -2x to both sides.

5/6b + 2x + -2x = x + -2x

5/6b = -x


Step 3: Divide both sides by 5/6.

5/6b            -x

5/6             5/6


b = -6x/5
