Because 15 can go into both you divide each by 15 to get 3/2. Hope this helped.

to reduce 45/30 you can find the GCF of both 45 and 30 and divide it into each of the two numbers
15 happens to divide evenly into both
45/15 = 3
30/15 =2
answer - (3/2)
