How is the place value used to read decimals?

You have to read the numbers behind the decimal with like tenth,hundredth,thousandth....for example 2.356... The place value of 3 is the tenths
- 5 is the hundredths
- 6 is the thousandths
You will have to read the numbers like two and or point three,five,six thousandths too..
