3. If m 4 = (3x - 7)º and m 8 = (5x – 23)º,
what is the value of x, m 8?

Value of x = 8

(3x - 7) = (5x - 23)
-2x = -16
x = 8

Value of m 8 = 17 degrees

5(8) - 23
40 - 23 = 17
