slope between (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
so
slope beteen (7,-11) and (-5,-8) is

(-8-(-11))/(-5-7)=(-8+11)/(-12)=3/-12=-1/4

slope=-1/4
